    Passive Aggressive

Some people just aren't cut out for intellectual arguments. Some people just don't have the creativity or the speed of thought necessary to come out of a debate on top. If you are such a person, then there's good news for you: even you need never admit to anyone that you are wrong.

Our society has become so obsessed with political correctness and treating other people with respect, that anyone can now win any argument simply by using the passive-aggressive ploy. We live at a time when it is seen as a moral crime to disagree with anyone about anything. Simply observe, using the correct terminology, that you're opponent disagrees with you, and they are duty-bound to apologise.

This has to be done right to work; you need to master a passive aggressive technique. This involves the combination of the right demeanor, and the right vocabulary.

To be passive, you need to show vulnerability. Tears are ideal, but simply explaining that you feel hurt and threatened will usually do the job. Show weakness. Evoke sympathy from bystanders.

To be subtly aggressive, you need to very gently label your opponent using one of a set of key words; "intolerant", "narrow-minded", and "bigoted" are the most often-used.

Your opponent will not be able to accept any of these labels, and will be forced to back down, begging your forgiveness for being so mean as they do so.

Technically, arguments that end this way end in a draw. The moral victory, however, will be yours.
